ONTHESPOT

Terms of Use & Safety Rules

Beta · last updated 12 August 2026 · hello@on-the-spot.app

OnTheSpot is a game: one task or question a day, dropped to everyone at the same moment, answered in one take. These terms keep it fun and keep everyone safe. By creating a profile you agree to them.

01The one rule that matters

What you are asked, and what you post, must be safe, legal, and consensual. Funny, embarrassing, awkward, cringe — great, that’s the game. The following are banned, and they get content removed and accounts banned:

If a stranger appears in your video and objects, delete it. Be a legend, not a menace.

02Filming other people

Get a yes. The best attempts are with people, not at them. If someone asks to be taken out of a video we will remove it — use Report in the app, or email us.

03Stakes & prizes in leagues

Stakes are a private arrangement between members — bragging rights, a forfeit, dinner. OnTheSpot never holds, guarantees, processes, or arbitrates prizes, and cash stakes are not allowed. If someone doesn’t pay up the shawarma, that’s between you and them.

04Moderation, reporting & blocking

05Your content

You own your videos. By posting you give OnTheSpot a licence to display them in the app — that’s what a feed is. Attempts posted to the global task are visible to other users; League attempts are visible to that League’s members. Delete your account in Settings and your profile is removed.

06Beta reality

This is beta software run by a small team. Things may break; data may be reset; features may change. We’re grateful you’re here early.

07Age

OnTheSpot is for ages 16+. By using it you confirm you’re 16 or older.

08Privacy

We store your profile, posts, likes, follows, comments and reports to run the service. We don’t sell your data. The full detail is in the privacy policy; questions and deletion requests go to hello@on-the-spot.app.
