It lands at a minute nobody can predict — not you, not us. Fifteen seconds to answer it. No edits, no second draft, no working out what to say first.

Today it could be
The last thing you googled
A hundred of them, and the app never tells you which is next. Point the camera at something, or say the thing out loud. That's the whole game.
The only two rules with a number in them
Everything else about how you answer is up to you.
Seconds of video. Long enough to do the thing, too short to perform it.
Minutes to post if you want it to count towards your streak. Retake as many times as you like inside them — nerves aren't a crime.
How a day goes
Your phone buzzes. Everyone around you gets the same one at the same moment, and it lands at a civilised hour wherever you are — nobody in Melbourne is woken at three in the morning for a quest timed for Amsterdam.
Wherever you happen to be, however you happen to look. Fifteen seconds. If you get it first go, the app says so.
Miss the window and you can still post. Your attempt goes up wearing LATE — still watched, still liked, it just doesn't keep your streak. The deadline is the only thing in here that costs you anything.
Today's attempts, friends first. Post your own and the whole day opens up. Tomorrow it starts again, and yesterday goes to your profile, where it stays.
Three ways to play it
Same game, three sizes of room.
One quest a day for the whole app. The feed is today's attempts, people you follow first.
Your group, its own quests and its own clock. Win a round and you write the next one — in a small room the winner really is the winner, so they get the pen. Points across a season, champion at the end.
A café, a gym, a padel club, a course, a house. Whoever runs it sets the quest for their regulars — show your drink and rate it out of ten. A reason to turn up, not an advert.
Stakes inside a league are a private arrangement between members — bragging rights, a forfeit, who buys dinner. OnTheSpot never holds, guarantees or settles anything, and cash stakes aren't allowed.
Where the line is
The quests inside a league are written by players, so the rules about what one can ask of you aren't a formality — they're the thing keeping it playable.
Every quest, attempt, comment and profile can be reported in the app, and reports are reviewed within 24 hours. You can block anyone, and blocking hides them from you straight away. What you type and what you say out loud is screened automatically before it can post. If a stranger wanders into your video and objects, take it down — be a legend, not a menace.
